My dealer just told me my car won't be in till AFTER February...cancel or wait?

Thanks, I tried Mark Christopher last fall and got a lot of conflicting answers, first it was sticker, then over sticker, then orders were MSRP + 1000, then back to sticker. I originally sent him the details of my order but he didn't respond after I made it official. I believe I saw a couple of posts on this forum about a VR RS they had on the floor with an adjustment of 13,000. I could be wrong about that, though. Thanks, maybe I'll try them again. I still get an occasional email from one of their salesmen about one that they got in.

What I DON'T know is how many 'sold' orders he already has - -but we have not given any allocation figures out that far.......

Go ahead and order somewhere else if it comes in earlier great and we can give you your deposit back. At this time we havent even processed your check yet.

My guess is that someone came in after you offering more money (over sticker), their in, your out. Along with your deposit, did you get anything in writing (terms, price, sales agreement)?

I haven't heard anything so I thought I'd drop you a quick email. I checked today on the Camaro5 forum and after 8 weeks I'm still at 1100 as of about 1:30pm.

Are there a significant number of orders in your allocation that are ahead of me? There are guys on the forum who ordered 7/31 and are already at 3000 with a TPW of 9/7.

I realize there are many variables, but I'm getting a little concerned that I haven't moved at all after 8 weeks when you said that your sister store had allocation.

Can you give me a little info, please?

So, you guys didn't actually have allocation when I ordered? Or, I missed the group? What happened? John led me to believe that I was in on a new allocation group and he hoped to see it much earlier than the Nov/Dec timeframe he originally had said. Now you're saying not till AFTER Jan/Feb. That's a very big change.

What went wrong?

No, they wouldn't give me anything in writing, although he did have me initial the order that I agreed to pay MSRP. Why it happened doesn't really bother me as much as deciding where to go from here. I don't care where I get the car, as long as i get one. Guess I may have to wait till spring when all of the BS stops.

Sorry to hear your troubles getting you a Camaro. I am admazed at some dealers that you can't get a Camaro, then you get a someone that orders a Camaro and the deal falls through. I hope that you do get a Camaro, don't give up and don't give up to second best. I ordered my Camaro 2SS RJT, Beige interoir. I was first in line and I got a call from the dealer advising me that a deal fell through. There will be a Camaro 2SS RJT Beige interoir coming Oct/Nov in Virginia. I think at MSRP.

I was thinking about asking CamaroScotty, but he's probably tired of bailing out dealers who don't keep their end of the bargain, and I'm not sure how the dealers here would take a drop ship without killing me on "fees". Plus, I don't know if he even has any more allocation.

I'm gonna be car less at the end of this week because my lease is up so I will have to rent a car until my camaro comes in... and i couldnt image waiting until feb!

Cancel........I know of a dealer that has plenty of allocations, but he's in PA...It would make a nice drive...You would see it in Oct I think...

Well, I canceled, and after a week, no deposit...LOL. I stopped payment on the check, which they never deposited, and am still deciding whether to try another dealer or just wait until spring when the pricing pressure eases. I'd like to get the Credit Union discount, though, and that ends in December. Maybe I'll just wait till spring and get a Tom Henry special, fly back to Pittsburgh, and drive it home. Hope you guys and gals are all having fun with yours...
