What fooled me was there are members on here that stated they had no hissing sound with their catch cans installed. Then, I come to this thread and read that most do have a hissing sound with the catch can. Oh well, I guess I had to waste $15 on some hard plastic tubing to see for myself.
I have never heard a thing...

I hear nothing from elite catch can. But I don't hear high pitches so much anymore, now that I'm older.

Try wrapping the hose with this or a similar product.

Sounds to me like a very small leak but noises can be difficult to identify sometimes. I just mounted my new Elite catch cans today but choose to mount them under the headlights, away from heat. I mounted (2) units in series to catch it ALL! I know this is overkill but that is the way I am. I have a ton of money invested in my Twin Turbo LLT, automatic and the intake valve coking I have seen on other DI engines makes me sick. Still have some work left to plumb them in. I originally had the earlier RX catch cans which did a fantastic job for the past 2+ years. I looked at all the other catch cans on the market and although there are one or two others that look like they would do a good job, I choose the Elite units because the internal design looks to be superior, to me. They are high quality which is what I demand on my project Camaro.

There are no leaks. Connections are super tight and wrapped with teflon tape. Idle speed is rock steady and I have no CEL. That's just it right there. You have people claiming they have no hissing sound whatsoever and others that say they have it. Either the people that claim they don't have it are deaf and can't hear the catch can over the D.I. and other mechanical noises of the engine or they're lying.

How about this. To those who claim they don't have any hissing noises coming from their catch cans, how about recording a video of it with your engine running and then posting it here? Perhaps that will solve the issue once and for all.

Have you tried calling Elite Eng and seeing what they have to say ?

I put a 45 degree fitting in the bottom of each can, then a 4" nipple, then the drain shut off. That way the drains are exiting just behind the front spoiler. You do not have to raise the car to drain them and they are well protected from bottoming out. See the picture attached. the red tip is the end of the drain.
