It's situations like this why I can not deal with customer service personnel in general. I'd have knocked him out.

Too many businesses operate like that and they blame the economy for lack of profit and growth. I hope this thread reaches them, but something tells me 1985 didn't have the Internet as we know it. Haha

Also, not everywhere in PA has emissions. It is done by county population IIRC. I happen to live in one that does not require emissions.

Part of me wants to print out this thread and go over there and make them eat the print out. That is just shameful

I would but they probably don't have internet yet! haha I have no problem changing my own oil, but it just worked out perfectly for as much as I run the car to have the 1 complementary change a year. Oh well, lesson learned. I'll never go back there, and I'll make sure that anyone that asks about them knows about them as well.

Strange that they would act like that. My dealer told me "you know you still got 45% oil life right? " I said yep go ahead anyway. And they did it no questions asked. However they did decide to "wash" my engine compartment and I have my engine cover off and a rotofab cold air intake. I was pretty livid about that. They acted like they didn't understand why I was angry about them spraying water and degreaser in my engine bay. So I'm just gunna change my oil myself I'm too worried about those boobs screwing up my intake among other things. Besides now I can put the good stuff in!

I'd definitely call GM and file a complaint. Terrible service.

I emailed GM earlier today and already received a call saying that they would be contacting the dealership. Thanks GM for some REAL service.

Dealers are totally hit or miss, especially in PA. I have had terrible experiences, myself. It's not just GM dealers, though.

This old 3 piece patch-wearing scooter tramp would punch the lights out of ANYONE who called me an asshole. It's that simple - I will not let ANYONE be disrespectful to me without a physical response. It makes no difference if the ignorant offender is in a roadhouse or a car dealership.
I feel for you and the problems you went through. My 2014 Camaro is one year old and has 1900 miles. I got my free dealership 1000 mile oil change done at 6 months. When THAT oil change hits one year, no matter the mileage, I'm going in for another free one under the 2 year free service policy.
