You should already have the FE4 suspension, unless someone who had the car changed it and don't know why someone would do that.

For whatever reason the convertibles still have the F3 suspension. Don't ask me why. That is why I am upgrading the end links & installing a FE4 compatible BMR 1.25" rear sway bar.

Huh....well that's interesting. Don't know why they would do that. I'm sure you'll like the FE4 suspension better, I upgraded mine along with a bunch of other components and it made a world of difference.

Yep, the Verts all have the FE3 suspension(minus the ZL1), but they do have the newer style lower arms in place so all that is needed are the rear endlinks and FE4 style bars for the update/upgrade.

Yeah I ripped the ZL1 rear sway bar right out of my FE3 LCA without even racing, just going up and over inclines and declines of driveways

Those 1LE updates -- not a big price cut -- GM thinks those are gold! Tyler will get you the best price he can -- but, I'm wondering how 'easy' those will be to get with the 6th Gen's coming out!

Thinking of doing this upgrade but worried about all the parts, labor, and expense?
Just buy my Pfadt Racing rear sway and with one easy install you'll have a sway bar that's stiffer than the OE FE4 and no other parts or alignment needed. Have a look here- http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=414288 you'll be amazed at the change in your car's handling and save hundreds of $$. Thanks for looking! |

As far as street driving I didn't notice any big difference going from a FE3 stock rear setup to a FE4 rear setup with a 1LE bar. I did notice the difference on the AutoX course and track. My opinion is if you're driving fast enough to the point of the limits of grip on the street you need to slow down.
If you're not tracking or autoxing the car then I see no major benefit in spending the money.

2011 Camaro SS Fe3 to Fe4 Conversion
No one ever tells you in these blogger sites that you must place the car in neutral in order for the rear lower control arms to line up properly. I wrestled with this for numerous hours before a friend of mine suggested placing the car in neutral. Then all was good and the control arms would line up properly in order to bolt to the suspension.

Thats interesting about neutral. I wrestled for hours too then had to call for backup. A buddy of mine who owns a mechanic shop ended up using a big pry bar...but it was a PITA!
