I like my 2SSRS 3 times better than I did my Vette. It's plenty fast AND you can throw a couple of little people in the back which was not even an option on my Vette.
You won't regret it. |

From a performance standpoint the Corvette is a better car in every measurable way. And if you had never seen either one before 9 out of 10 people would say it looks better as well.
The only thing the Camaro has going for it right now is the novelty factor. In a year or two when Camaros are as commonplace as Mustangs that will be gone and you will be left with an inferior car that hardly anybody even notices. |

Hey everyone,Thanks for all of your replies...We don't have to fight about which car is better...Both cars are super...Everyone has his or her reason to pick which car is for them...This is my 7th Corvette since 1994,I have also owned a 1986 Iroc-Z and a 1999 Camaro SS and I have liked each and every car...I have owned this Corvette for almost 1 year and have only 2000 miles on it,I need a car with more than 2 seats so I don't have to go trade cars with my wife and get her Yukon...I drove the Camaro SS on Saturday and I was really impressed with everything about the car....So if they give me a fair price on a trade I will be driving a new Camaro SS...

Another one of those "it's a matter of opinion" topics.
Personally I'd give any vette away for any camaro. and if I got lucky with the trade off I'd get cash for mods ! Have always loved camaro's more than vettes.. Not saying I think a Camaro can compare performance wise... I'm not a moron... I just prefer the Camaro's for their looks over the vettes, I don't need to drive a rocket ship, and I prefer muscle over sport. That's not just because "2010 maro is a novelty" either.... I'd rather any gen Camaro if given the choice..... Confident I'll feel the same 5-10 years from now dusting off the Camaro for another cruise (But maybe by then I'll have a vette too) lol. That said, not really compareable.... Two diff vehicles from the same company, both very good looking / quality and seperate categories/target markets. They're both on the same team ! So cheers to anyone owning either or both of em. PS. I might trade a vette for a Camaro but I'd also do my best to get my money's worth on the trade... Don't get jipped !! Find a diff dealer. yours isn't gonna help you out if you got 13k off sticker. |

And that would be spot on, if I based my auto purchases on what other people like.
![]() Of course if that was the case, we would all be driving Toyotas. There is no right decision, only personal preferance. Heres to hoping the OP don't get buttraped on the trade in. You might wanna try Ebay or something first. Go and price new '09's at the dealer then undercut 'em a bit. Quote:

The word upside down is coming to me for some reason. Good luck with your decision.
