Many folks have done this. Here is the DIY link: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=346744

The only difference would be using CF parts.

We are already making 2010-13 parts. The parts on the OP are new parts we just added to our parts line.

Replacing plastic parts for carbon are probably not going to see much of a weight difference. Somebody asked me yesterday how much the CF engine cover weighted and it was 1 lbs 4 oz. I'm not sure how much the factory unit weights but perhaps somebody can let us know.

Replacing the steel parts will the dry carbon with definitely reduce weight. Below are a few examples.

I've gotten questions on how to do the roof install, so here is a brief summery.

Here are some pics of how RS did theirs. They did it a little different then what we did. They cut the roof in portions and then removed the front and rear glass to do the install.

We already had the glass out and just remove the entire panel in one piece by drilling out the spot welds.

Most folk will bond and rivet the roof. This is the same thing the factory does when they do use an aluminum roof on all steel body. The CF is just stronger and lighter.

Most body shop can do these install and cost runs between $1000 and $1,200.

Hope that helps.

Now my question is "Who is going to be first", LOL

I am having the same delema but then I wonder how hard it would be for a body shop to make the sunroof fit.

If you go with wet CF , you wont save much on the hood. The wet CF trunk is mush lighter then the factory trunk but I dint weigh it. If you read post 19 above it has the weight saving when going with Dry CF which are substantial!

But you will the real gains when you add the window sticker

Hey Mike, cant wait to see you install your new Dry CF hood. If you can post some pictures and your thoughts on the quality, I would greatly appreciate it!

Hey guys we are going to be doing a 2014 Black ZL1 this week. Hoping to have it done by Fri/Sat We will be posting pics as we go. Really exited as its going to have all the goodies!

Here our wicker bill which we removed the factory powder coating, brushed and had cleared anodized. Its getting mounted with Ring Brother stainless bolts for a really racing mechanical look.

Are the zl1 parts specific to zl1? Will the zl1 rockers fit a 14 ss? How about the zl1 splitter? Will it fit the 14 ss?

The rocker are universal, the splitter are specific to the ZL1.

You can do a combo like GM did with their "Spring Edition" for 2014-15 and "Hot Wheel Edition" for 2010 -13.

For the 2010-13 they used the 1LE front splitter, the ZL1 rockers and spoiler.

The the 2014-15 they used the 1LE splitter, ZL1 rocker, ZL1 conv spoiler and Z/28 diffuser.

Now imagine these cars if the had our CF parts instead. They would look like something that came from GM. Timeless and elegant at a whole new level!
