It depends what State you live in. When I lived in N.Y. (Long Island) you couldn't drive one day without being stopped for no front plate. I moved to Ct many years ago and the State requires a front plate, but it has hardly ever been enforced.
I recently looked at about 100 cars coming in the opposite direction on a busy highway. At least one in 10 cars didn't have a front plate.
My Camaro's License plate and bracket are in my Camaros trunk.

Aren't you being a bit hypocritical here? You want people to put the plate on because it's the law but then you use "getting away with" drinking and driving as a reason to do it. Geez.....

I got a ticket for not having a front license plate on my car about 10 years ago. But I was in college and they were looking for a reason to pull me over. Wasn't drinking, but got a $75 ticket for no plate. No plate on mine now, guess I'll wait for another ticket.

It's not illegal to drink and drive. It's illegal to be drunk and drive. I'm just saying the way cops are it just gives them a reason to pull you over then if you did have a couple drinks then they could put you through all that mess of trying to find out if you are drunk. Ohio is the worst. They look for any little reason to pull you over. Once they have you if you've had one beer you are put through the test.
