this is not true either. rock chip repairs are not always permanent and perfect. in fact there is no suck thing as a perfect rock chip repair. you will always see soem part of the chip whether it be the impact mark or the cracks themselves. rock chip repairs are to postpone replaceing your windshield. if you have a good reputable shop do your install it will be as good as factory. yes sometimes you get a leak now and then, but once again if you go to a reputable shop they wont hesitate to fix it. (meaning pull the glass and do it over)
I agree on the not always perfect part. I've had several repairs and they are always visible but have never cracked more after the repair. Our C5 recently got a chip with a 1/2" crack. When I took it to get it repaired, the guy said that he would almost guarantee that attempting a repair would cause it to crack more. He went as far as to say that if I wanted to repair it he would prefer that I take it somewhere else. Basically he recommended to "let nature take its course". It could crack more tomorrow or never crack. So far... no crack (knock, knock).

I'm 60+ so even getting in the back seat would be a chore for me. You guys, Enjoy your youth !.
but i wouldn't use ammonia based cleaners if you get your windows tinted they say it's not good for the glue

they have other window cleaners that don't have it just for cars

I have always had great treatment in that service dept. when I had taken my Colorado in.
I ended up passing by the GM show @ North York, on Sunday, they also have a Black SS with white ralley stripes. That's just gorgeous, but the color is to high maintainence. Me and my cousin might pass by on Friday, after lunch, to see if it's still there. They also have a SIM 2LT.
