As said above to have it connect with the 60's my car will have stripes. I will have them painted on but unfortunately I will have to have the vinyl ones removed first (I want the papers to "match" the car).

I decided to wait an decide when I get the car. I wasn't sure how much the flat black would show up on Cyber gray. You can get a more original look with paint or after market products. Its all you to you and what you like.

I'd say wait until after you get the car I couldn't make up my mind, so I didn't order them with the car. I'm glad I didn't. The more I look at it the more I like it without. If I do stripes, has to be something different then what's out there now. When I think about it, mine is different, most have stripes, mine doesn't Maybe someday......

I like what GTjacket did and already ordered the hood spears & the door trim from Ridergraphix. My 2SS is black with IOM interior...No, she's not here YET!

Yeah I echo that sentiment. I had all these plans on how I was going to do stripes but now that I have my car, it looks so good as-is I'm going to take my time and think carefully about what I want to do. Pictures do not do these cars justice. They are much nicer looking in person than pictures show.

Whatever I decide to do I want it to not only be unique, but actually enhance the car. Right now that's tough to imagine because it looks so good. I'm going to get my custom rims first then go from there.

Personally, "to stripe or not to stripe" has driven me nuts over the past couple of months
In the meantime, I've decided NOT to do any striping on my Camaro until I figure out exactly what suits me best. I not intereseted in making mine look like everyone elses by doing the same "rally" or "hockey" stripe packages to match the crowd, but rather, I feel at this point, the Camaro simply looks best when left alone. No stripes, just natural beauty.

About the only improvements I've done to my Camaro were to add Chrome Gill inserts, Chrome Door Handles and "SS" logos to the Wheel Centers and under the front 1/4 panel "Camaro" nameplate. This seems to satisfy me for now.

Thanks everybody! You've given me lots of useful information (as usual! )

I think it is going to be best to see the car and then decide from there. It's like naming a pet. A lot of times you need to see it before you can give it a name! I need to see my car before I decide whether or not to modify her!

Hehe...mine's IBM too. This color looks so fantastic in person I find myself reluctant to put anything on it. I feel the same way; I need to figure out exactly what suits me too. I'm going to live with it awhile before I do anything to that beautiful midnight blue metallic.

The only colors that I like with the rally stripes are Victory Red and White. To me, all the other colors don't need stripes.

I think you can say SIM needs it. Not sure about Red. White definitely.

I think a lot of IBMers have this dilemma. I have gone back/forth on rally/concept/bumblebee/hood spears/extended(ala mustang) stripes question and everything inbetween. I even taught myself Gimp (freeware tool like photoshop) over the last month while trying to get the stripes just right.

But I too am going to wait an see. Give my poor head a rest.
