I drive mine every week end. I put about 500 miles a month on mine. I do not want to drive it to work because of all the jealous people...

Yes, drive mine every day but I don't do a whole lot of driving. Bought mine in late December and have 1300 miles on it currently. I just don't drive much. Only put 25k miles on my V6 over the 42 months that I had it.

"Baby" Sits In The Garage Thru The Winter Months - October / April - I Drive Her May Thru September And Then Put Her Away Again - Would Drive Her More But Just Can Not Bring Myself To Drive Her In Cold Weather - She's (3) Years Old Now And Her Clock Will Be In The 3000 Miles This Year

I've owned both a V6 and a ZL1 so let me explain this....

Most V6 & SS car owners drive their cars more because it's their PRIMARY car for work or DD.

My 13' V6 was a DD when I had it. It was my only personal car for transportation. The wife had the min-van at that time.

I would say 98% of ZL1 & Z/28 owners have their cars as the 3rd or 4th car in their household. Most peeps who can afford a 60k+ car are buying a high performance car as a weekend warrior car only. It doesn't mean we love the car less or don't want to drive it. I sometimes can be on a biz trip out of town for up to a week at a time. When I come home I have 4 young kids...basketball games and soccer games on the weekends. Sometimes the ZL1 just sits a week in the garage because I simply don't have the time to drive her. Doesn't mean I don't love the car and want to drive it and less than anyone else.

Take yesterday for example. My wife and I decided to have a fun day away from the kids while they were at school all day. We drove down to Balboa Island in Newport Beach for the day. We both thought about taking the ZL1....but then the thought of having to part our prized possession in tight parking spots and possibly have the car get scratched or dented up.....we took our other car instead....

I'm sure most high end car owners don't drive as much when they can because they don't want to park in tight spaces where their cars can get damaged.

But with all that said I do try to drive to car shows and track events as much as my schedule permits.

I hope this answers you question.

I hope this clears it up for you
Yep this pretty much sums it up. I love to drive it, when the situation is the correct one for my needs. Biggest thing for me is parking has to be a known esp if overnight out of town. Bonus for the wife is, we stay in some of the best hotels just because of this. The car excels at weekend trips and track days, that's what I bought it for.

It seems like many have their ZL1 to look at. How many are actually driving it to work/school/shopping ect... each day?
I'm right there with you (43 days or so and counting)....just went over the 1500 mile mark. It is my DD and only car (not counting my wife's car) but I do work from home so it sits in the garage during the week except for runs to a store. Weekends is where the miles get added as I usually drive over to the beach area and just that round trip is approx. 170 miles....but it is all highway and today it was nice to open it up a bit......man this thing drives nice.

It's not that I want it to sit. It's that I don't want my ZL1 sitting in the rats nest parking lot at work...

That's why I keep my old truck around. If I had a V6 camaro that is worth as much as my truck I would use it as a daily instead
