To some point your not and you can get them for under $20, but this is for a car not home, so i am using the wireless charger from the Chevy Suburben's it more then the home charging pads, and it only draws 2 amps at most.

Yes your right you need a adepter for most phones but if you look there under $10 for that part, we have 4 of them for my note 3.

look on GM they have a list of what will work, and what will not but more and more will work.

Am I missing something, I just plug the wireless charger in the USB port and leave it over the drink holders, never use them

Buy this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/mobile/accessory/dt-900/

Splice the wire to hook up to the USB cable running under the armrest console.
Place this underneath the console and voila, wireless charging.
You'll need to do some custom mounting underneath.
Make sure the Nokia logo is facing up.

Don't want to go through the trouble? plug in USB

That's smart idea! I actually have a wireless pad for charging by my bed, but it's the one that is standing up. Thanks though, I might get another now!

You can use the stand up one as well but you may need to sacrifice a cup holder space.

You want your phone screen to be facing the driver, that way your phone doesn't flop forward/backward upon acceleration/deceleration.

Same concept, splice the wire and hook it up to the USB cable below.
