Yes, I used old socks, and no damage to original trim. The trim is that color gray, and I did it outside where the sun would evaporate the any leftover gasoline. I made sure to wash it after just to be sure. But as someone else pointed out, it is highly flammable so if u end up going that route then be careful and have good ventilation. What color was your original trim?

The original trim was silver. They did such a piss poor job painting it. I'm dying because I will probably have to rebuy all these pieces and I don't even know where to begin for that. I'll post some pictures of the car in a bit

Heres how it turned out. Sun visors are pretty bad and there are lots of imperfections. I will probably end up replacing all of it so if you have any leads on these parts let me know

I know. They are a flipping joke. Its driving me insane how bad they did my car. They also scratched the trunk trying to put a vinyl stripe on. I am beyond pissed. Where would you begin with getting this fixed?

Man, did they trash your car or what? Sorry, bout that. The visors, just get a new set. The rest can most likely be saved with nail polish remover, lighter fluid or even gas and a whole lot of elbow grease. If you do it remember not to get in a hurry and rub it too hard. Breaks my heart to see that awful paint job...

For painting, contact Pete (Showstopper). He's a sponsor here and in St. Charles. He's painted two hoods and stripes for me. He does all kinds of custom work.

I would have told them to take that sh!t back off so you could find another shop. I would not have paid anything. Did they reimburse you for the decals?

painted interior

With a little prep and imagination, it can be done yourself. And yes, it is intentionally textured to give it a raw type of look.

Wow that is horrible. Hope you did not pay for that mess. Sand the parts down then use adhesive promoter, then prime ,then sand 320 then prime ,then sand 800. Should be ready for a good base coat followed by a good 5 layers of clear coat. Only way to do it and it takes time and patiance. For the sun visors they are now trashed so I would carfully remove the vinyl on them and replace with a color choice vinyl. If you can not do them then take the visors to a person who does interior car custom work. Cheap won't get you good work and good work is not cheap.
