Next stop is the service department I guess :(

I had this happen once on a Scion TC, it took approximately 100 miles before light went off, also fill your tank up.

just so everyone knows,, these cars are still obd2 and by federal law they must be able to send generic codes and data through the dlc connector,, so yes anyone with a generic obd2 scan tool or code reader can get engine codes and data

and also the gm tech2 works great on the 2010 camaro, i use mine all the time on my car, just set up the tech2 for a 2009 pontiac g8 and you can get all the codes and data from the ecm or tcm

When it's covered under warranty, why NOT go to a dealer?

We had a car come in - bad O2 sensor....had goop on the threads when installed....it melted, rendering the O2 sensor INOP.

I bought my own OBDII code reader. Makes it quick and painless to read codes and reset the computer when you want.

Yep, mine also has come on. I had installed a CAI and a axle back exhaust system (straight pipes) and each time the battery was disconneced during installation. I ran around for several weeks with no problems. I was coming home from crusin the coast in Biloxi when the check engine light came on and brought her in right away. The dealer called the next day and said the found NO Code on the computer. They did some sort of inspection, upgrade the HVAC, update the window indexing and reflashed the computer. This was the first computer work done since I installed the air and exhaust systems. Now there is a HUGE difference in power. I mean this baby wants to run like never before!!!
P.S. 3 of the mechanics came out to the car when my wife picked it up and told her that they love the way it sounds. Thanks Trapp!
