A few random notes on the price at Advance Auto. If the store will let you use the $10 off $25 or more coupon along with honoring the in store sale, then .

If not and I ran into this yesterday where they actually read the coupon and saw that it says not be used with any other offer, then either go to another location and try using it there or just buy the 5 quart jug at the regular price of $22.99 and either a filter if you want it or something that cost $3. Then use the $10 off coupon and you're still saving a lot.

Honestly you'll probably save more just using the coupon if they won't give you the sales price plus the coupon because when you do the math, at regular price the 5 quart jug is $22.99 ($0.99 more than Walmart) and the filter is $10 so the sales price only saves you $3 or so. Note these are Houston prices; not sure it'll be the same where you're at but just do the math and do what saves you the most money!

In the long run you're probably only saving maybe $5-8 not including the mail-in rebate. I say this because the regular price for a 5 quart jug of regular M1 at Walmart is $22. Add the price of the oil filter (I haven't bought one at regular price so I'm guessing ~$15.00) so you're saving just a couple bucks. Of course this is better than nothing! I just point this out in case someone misses the sale.

Note: I found a mail-in rebate form via Google for regular M1. It's a $10 rebate if you buy 6 quarts of M1. This one can be used in conjunction with the above stated sale since they are both for regular M1.
Some people hate Wallyworld but damn is their oil cheap. Only problem is they only sell Fram filters at the one around here.

Another good deal they have going on- Walmart sells 5qt jugs of Pennzoil Platinum for $20. Go to Pennzoil's website and you can print off a $15 rebate for 5qts of Platinum.

So 5qts of Pennzoil Platinum for $5.

Wow, that is a good deal too! Yeah I did notice that they don't sell Mobil brand filters. I think when I adding things up I was assuming having to buy it at an auto parts store and around me, they average $10 or so. I just wish Mobil will have rebates on the Extended Protection brand.

Good finds everyone! Let's keep'em coming!!

Just bought 5qts of extended protection mobile 1 and a filter for $29.99 at advance autoparts....used $10 coupon....then bought 5 more with another coupon. $21.57 each time.....now I mail in the receipts for the rebate and get $20 back.....total out of pocket is $23.14. Not a bad deal...................going back before the end of the month for 10 more.

Hey that's awesome that they let you get away with both getting the EP and using the coupon along with the sale. I tried doing both and only one location that I found honored both the sale and the coupon.

Be on the look out for some good specials on their clearance rack too. I found some really good microfiber application pads, towels and wash mitts for $0.95! Will be using them and the oil this weekend. Here's to a cloudy, cool day with no rain!!

Just a note to add, the $10.00 Gift card rebate is limited to "Two" per household.

Thanks for the heads up on the oil and filters!

I made the mistake of taking my Camaro to a Chevy Dealership and paid $110 for the change!!! 9 1/2 bucks a quart. :(

But now I will save some $$$$
