Every magazine review I've seen of these cars says the LC is very consistent, but doing it manually is how to get the good times.

Why not? It's all coding and logic?

Keep justifying why you shouldn't have it. Keep your bars low. No need to advance.

Uh, I just meant that's why the car is expensive.

Don't forget the significant advantage rear weight bias and a wet clutch provide to the Porsche... There is only so much coding and logic can do before physics takes over.

The wet, computer-controlled clutch is why the Porsche's launch control is worlds better than ours. I don't know about you, but I much prefer a manual transmission that I'm in complete control of.

I use this thing called a right foot and apply careful amounts of pressure using this other thing called a left foot...

Can't wait for the Google self driving car to come out and then just do everything for you..."ok Google. Drag race, go"

The fact that you use the word logic in your reply is funny....

There are two camps here....

One wants total control over their car (Old school peeps) to be ale to "DRIVE" the car.

The other camp (millennia's) want the on board computer to do everything so all they have to do is steer the car like a video game.

I'm 90% old school with 10% new school myself.

Right. Because F1 wouldn't have all of these electronics if it wasn't legal. F1 had LC, TC, etc over a decade ago. Then the crap rules outlawed them. You are not a great driver as you think you are. Otherwise you'd be a professional racer.

one thing I have noticed as cars have become these bloated fat pigs that they are 3800-4500lbs they are just harder to launch at high HP levels.

about 99% of manual Zl1 drivers must not be very good because very few ever crack 11seconds stock and you really do have 11 second power. I mean 500whp is alot.

It is not even that want launch control I am just a firm beliver is if you goingn to avertise something like GM did make it actually work ok. IMO they may has well have left it off the car. I used it once and was like wow that was stupid.

They should have advertised it as the 5.0 mustang mode. turns you Zl1 into the same et as 20k cheaper car.
