The stripe looks good on the black Camaro. I guess because it adds two new colors.

Perhaps if they added a pinstripe to the black stripe, maybe a grey border, it would look better.

The black stripe, imo, would look fine if they carried through to the end of the car, without the taper. That, I think, is what doesn't sit right. The way it tapers & ends in the middle of nowhere.

I think it would look better without the front portion of the stripe. Not a big fan of it, though.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'd remove the stripe. Looks like something generic you could get a Pep Boys along with fender vents and chrome door guards.

It does look good, IMO, but do what pleases YOU... and be careful, the guys on this site will change the brand of your tooth paste, the beer you drink, oh, and the color of your underwear...

My honest opinion is that the stripe is very silly and out of place, id take it off

yea I'd leave it alone for awhile and see how you feel about it in 6 months or so. Since it came from factory like that, I think it looks sweet.

Regardless of opinions from the masses (I throw my vote behind keep the stripe), does anyone have any experience with OP's original question and have experience removing the stripes that they could share?

I can't imagine it's any different than removing the hockey stripe on earlier Camaros. If it's vinyl, it will be painted underneath.
