I've had three fail to date. Bushings sounds like the way to go to me. Harley motors have been using bushings for years, when the aftermarket introduced rockers with bearings there were and still are failures especially with high lift cams and high spring pressures, never seen a bushing "fail" unless there was a major oiling issue.

What do you guys think? CHE upgraded rockers gtg for .65x lift and 465lb spring load? If not, what? And don't say $1300 rocker setup...

Im not talking about comp im talking about in general. Like I said, I have BTR

The problem with Camaro5 is that a member will post how something failed and then all of a sudden that means the part sucks. While at the same time people are using the same parts for years with no problem. There's nothing in this world that is manufactured to last forever

Why not? Been drag racing for 25 years and can tell you we spend way more money on stay together parts than we do on go faster parts. You learn the hard way, once.

Apply that to stock rockers, that have 1000x as many out there, yet because of a few rare failures people "upgrade".

Not necessarily true, I for example found several stock rockers about to completely fail before I made a switch. By comparing a stock rocker and one with a trunion upgrade you can see the correction to one of the weak links but most of the failures are due to the fact that they both still utilize needle bearings and that is in my opinion the weakest link and that is why I'm thinking bushings may be the way to go. If there is premature bushing wear they will not come apart like bearings have been.

Totally agree, but I don't really feel my setup is demanding of a $1300 set of rockers

But your setup is failing with the better known alternatives. That is no small cam you have there.

The setup in my drag car (Gen1 small block) is so slick I want to put clear valve covers on it

Shaft mounted not really an option without machining on PRC heads. I just contacted wcch about the che upgrade, $460. $100 would get me roller rockers. Decisions, decisions...

I'll take CHE over a yella terra or the other roller rockers out there that are not shaft mounted.

Yeah, that's my concern, too. Well, I told pat g that I intended to use the stock rockers and he still spec'd me this cam, so I think I'll stick with them and just add the bushings.

my local shop said they saw more failures with them, then stock. so its about a money thing.
