For washing, get a foam gun. The Bunny K Foamaster runs around $30 on amazon and is well built.
Wash media. Two buckets with grit guards, the idea is to remove the dirt off your car by introducing clean soap from your soap bucket, then rinse it in the rinse bucket to leave the dirt in that bucket. Wash mitt, the Microfiber Madness Incredimitt is so good I could go on for days about it. It's not cheap, but worth every penny. If your using a towel to dry with, the Microfiber Madness Dry Me Crazy is terrific, again not cheap, but very effective while being safe on your paint. Soap. Don't equate suds to lubricity, I've tried several different brands and Adams Car Shampoo is fantastic. The mitt just glides across the surface, it has never spotted if it happens to dry on the paint or the windows. (I only wash in shade). It won't strip your wax or sealant. The Adams H20 G&G is very easy to apply protection you can put on after washing, will add about 10 minutes to your normal wash & dry routine, it also adds a nice gloss and has 2 months of durability. For routine washes the Adams Detail Spray while drying will speed up the drying process, as well as leave a nice shine. It smells great too. Works great on fresh bird droppings too. (Always make sure the surface is cool to the touch when removing these.)

Lots of good info already shared... I'd highlight one thing -
The absolute, most important part, of any good car care regimen is in the wash process. Its at the center of everything you'll do to the car and its the one thing you do most often/regularly to maintain the cars appearance. So that being said, don't skimp on wash supplies - 2 buckets with grit guards High quality soap At least 2 high quality wash mitts or pads A drying Agent High quality drying towels Once you have that collection started, don't forget that process is important. Even great products if used incorrectly or with bad technique aren't going to save, your paint from damage. There are tons of videos on our youtube channel, our website, and ones posted here to reference. Also - don't hesitate to reach out to me directly for one on one advice. I'm happy to assist with anything you need in terms of how to approach a process or address an issue. I use Chemical Guys products. They have solvents for every stage of washing and detailing. I bought a 3 Gallon pump sprayer and spray entire vehicle with distilled water getting rid of the loose dirt. Than I spray some Chem. Guys Green onto two body panels and let sit for a minute or two. I go over two panels at a time with one side of a Micro fiber towel than I flip it and go over the same panels with the dry side again. I repeat this until the entire vehicle is done. You will use at least three to four towels during this process. Than I Do a final wipe and buff with a Micro fiber Waffle weave towel. For wheels I spray on Chem Guys Orange and let sit for a minute. I then hose off and dry with a micro fiber applicator pad. I use the same Chem Guys Orange for all my black body surfaces. (Spoiler, front splitter, rear diffuser and splash guards). Chemical Guys has a White paste that I use on my tires and go over my black surfaces again as mentioned above. Gives it an armor all sheen but without the stickiness. I have a 1LE so for the hood I use Chem Guys cleaner and than go over it with Chem Guys Matte Detailler. Whew. And that's it. Keep your ride clean and the bugs will slide right off rather than splat on your paint.

Can you use foam gun if you have a vert? Don't want it to stain my top or create splotches.
