If he took it without permission I would say the mother is now responsibile considering he cannot pay back the debt..

If it were me a LSX 376 would be getting charged to her credit card.

It doesn't matter if he took it or not, that still doesn't explain why the motor has no oil in it. Just driving it, even driving it hard doesn't make oil disappear. Something is being left out of the story or your nephew is the unluckiest kid on earth.

He's not saying but I think he has been out joy riding more than one time with that light on and just not saying anything because he knows not to touch the car. This is gonna be a long weekend! I will be calling vengeance Monday and a few other places to see what the damage is and oh yeah my sister will be paying for this one.

He is now packing his things and I'm stuck! He can't afford to pay for any of these repairs so I'm screwed. I did plan on upgrades but just not right now. I still need to figure out where this oil is going
Maybe instead of having him leave...you said you owned a company. Let him stay and work off the damages and when you take the car in...make sure he goes with you to explain to the shop what HE did. At least it was just the motor, which can be replaced and nothing else happened to the rest of the car. Just saying.

Well at least he didn't crash it and get hurt or worse. Kids will be kids can't do anything about it. Just blame ur self and get it rebuilt with a deluxe package. The way I see it I'd hate to have been my dad and having to deal with the things I done. He will never do it again and neither will you.

I'm doing some research now on ls3's burning oil. I know about a year ago I was going to purchase a ctsv from a guy and his car had an oil burning problem as well. It just doesn't seem like a common problem that's why I'm puzzled about where the oil went.

Lot's of common oil consumption issues. How often were you checking oil before this happened in the past? Only way to determine your cars oil consumption rate is to check every 1000 miles or so and keep track. Once low oil level light comes on damage may have already occurred if driven hard at that time.

Sorry to hear about your car which is unfortunate but the silver lining is that now you can make it faster than before especially with hellcats roaming the streets. Here's an option for you to consider. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=417981
