The Camaro is not a Ferarri. The more GM sells, the better it is for the company. And the better it is for the people buying the car that aren't already filthy rich. Why is it better? Well the more Camaros they make, the cheaper replacement parts will be and the more aftermarket competition there will be. If you're rich and worrying that your car won't be unique enough, go buy yourself a Lambo or an Aston Martion...

The Camaro has been gone for 7 years so of course there will be more Mustangs on the road. Will probably take that long for Camaros to be a dime a dozen too.

Right now the more camaros you see the better off we will all be. If you bought it thinking there would not be many on the road later on....think again. More camaros means more success for GM...more after market products...less ugly mustangs to look at...2 friends that have mustangs are trying to sell them in order to buy camaros. GM should have a slogan..."help beautify America...buy a camaro"

I feel both sides...
On one hand I LOVE the attention from being a very sharp car,and a rare one.... As opposed to a mustang, I only turn my head when I hear it's hideous exhaust note, and even than it's usually turning AWAY! But yea, want Chevy to sell lots of them to keep them going...I've been waiting since 2002 to be able to get a new one, and I'd hate to see another 8 year gap! I think Chevy needed to rethink their target with the camaro....it went from the "cheap" car you could mod through the roof in the first gen all the way to the 4th gen, where all of a sudden it wasnt a cheap car for the masses, but Chevy needed to sell to the masses to keep is going...so it was a catch-22..... |

I still think the V6 is pretty darn cheap. How many 300HP cars can you get for the low 20's?

In the 2001 model year for example GM only made 29,009 total Camaros and 21,436 Firebirds. In 1995 by contrast GM made 119,934 Camaros and 50,986 Firebirds. For Camaro Numbers http://www.camaro-registry.com/production.htm For Firebird Numbers http://www.marshu.com/ws6-car-gm-fir...-2000-2001.php

I look at it this way - I can't control what anyone else buys or how many Camaros they produce. I love the 2010 Camaro. It is my dream car. If -I- have one, I'm happy. There are pros and cons to every situation, including them making a lot of '10 Camaros. Hopefully the price of my $500 tires will go down!

onechuck....that's pretty funny! I live 8 miles outside of NYC, and, aside from at the dealer, I saw my first camaro (besides mine of course) earlier this week!

So far only have seen 4 in Houston besides mine and this is the 4th largest city in the US. Still, they will start to populate the market for sure. Right now, it is fun to be one of the fortunate people to have landed one. That feeling will fade, but hopefully our enjoyment of the car won't. By the time these are a dime a dozen, it will probably be time to get the next one anyway.
