Here is a pic with the nuts close. This is what happens with the recommended preload. No room for lowering ride height

It could go a little lower if there were most adjustment. It's like the spring is waaaay to long

you have already loosened the lower most lock ring and threaded the whole shock body as far as it will go into the lower colar right? This is how you generally lower coilover with this design I believe, not with preloading the springs. Get some preload on the spring and then thread the whole body down into the lower lortion as far as it will go if you havent already. If you have then I have no clue.

Mike_G is correct, you need to lower the shock body into its housing.
This will require that you remove your coil overs to do.

Post 15, the bottom locking ring should be loosened and the strut should be able to twist down such that it can protrude from the bottom. I had my XAs protruding at least an inch out of the bottom and could go more. If it binds, be carefully not to gall the threads if dirt/particles get in.

As for the coil, spring rate and length may be specific for vehicle setup. Perhaps the original car needed that spring spec. 4kg(250ish lbs) is what ride tech uses. I believe DSE is 275. The Pedders/BC comes with 180 or 200mm front coils. Anything longer and you'll probably need a spring compressor and may need more preload to get strut range when using softer spring rates.

I needed to use a 150lbs rate that kind of matches OE to pass a stupid local suspension travel requirement for modified cars. The 150 compressed so much that I ran out of spring travel with shorter springs. Ended using a 10" and used a compressor. Depending what you're doing, you may want to consider a different size/rate spring. BC, Draco, Hyperco, etc. Summit has a lot of 2.5" options, too.

I have done that, this shows that it is bottomed out, should be the lowest ride height possible. The body is completely all the way in. See the threads? Will not go anymore.

You can look at other spring options depending on your goals. I wonder if the drag coil-overs are just SuperCars with softer springs. Or, they have custom internal valving.

That's what I'm starting to think too. My car isn't a drag car, I got these lingenfelter/pedders for a pretty descent price and thought they would act the same as the standard pedders supercar set up.

You mentioned that the current springs on these are about 3" longer that the standard pedders coil overs. Could that be why it's not lowering?

You can wait for Pete or lingenfelter for a response. Not sure what spec springs come with the Supercars or if this is a special build model. Or, contact a former sponsor/Pedders dealer Raymond's alignment(Bruce). They may know more. Haddad is another former Sponser/Pedders dealer.

I'm using Draco 325lbs 8" springs on my XAs.

10-4 on that. I contacted Bruce @ Raymonds over the weekend. Hopefully I'll hear from him early next week. If it's just a matter of swapping out the springs.....I'm not to worried about it. If not...they will be up forsale in the classifieds

They have different valving and springs, they're going to be super soft for any kind of road course or autocross.
