Man might as well go to another forum. When I build my zl1 with adm I'll be sure to show other peeps first. Good day folks nobody can get through their head that hard working men can get what they want. I'm not sure why it's so hard for people to fathom that thought.

Are you asking on who would report you for spending/using that much money or who is the leading shop/place for modifications on your motor/car?

If I was carrying that kind of money, I'd put it in my glove box. I wouldn't put it in my motor, it'd get hot and probably burn. Also, that's a very strange place to put things.

Not sure if you are a troll, joking or just simply ignorant to the way legal protection works in this beautiful nation of ours. None of it looks appealing for you, but there is truth in the phrase, "A fool and his money are soon parted".

You are not protected when paying in cash. If something goes wrong, you are screwed. Good luck hiring an attorney and proving word of mouth with some hand scribbled receipts and no contract. $20k? Pfffft, try $50k, $100k or more. Ask lcrosss about Fast Automotive

There are a ton of different methods to protecting yourself, but none of them involve cash. The first and foremost is paying with AMEX or DISC or if you are forced to, VISA/MC. Go to a reputable shop with decades proven craftsmanship, which most likely isn't local. Perhaps you don't care to travel or just think we make all this up....I'd at the very least then get a written business contract when dealing with builds this size, not some hand written promises on a shop "estimate receipt". You can also approach the build no different than building your own house, hold the funds in escrow and release them weekly based on shop progression upon release signatures from both parties. Never, under any circumstances hand over 100% of an estimated project cost up front - in any industry.

I am not here to talk about prOtecting my money. I finished college a long time ago although I appreciate that insight that I know about. Now I didn't ask for a lecture I asked for a shop

Actually no...you didnt ask for a shop at all.

You asked if anyone raises a flag with someone spending that much.

Better question would have been-where should I go if I want to spend $20K building a motor for my (Insert item here).

That would look a lot less suspicious.

You didn't ask for a shop...people are trying to clarify what you are trying to ask.
