At my tuning shop the tech was struggling with an 02 that was supposedly "crossthreaded". I grabbed a 7/8", did my trick, and it popped loose easily. The impact of the hammer breaks loose the corrosion where a simple pull of a wrench or socket gets you nowhere. That ground has never caused an issue, but the dipstick tube bracket had to be relieved on one set of headers I installed.
Yeah I had to trim the oil tube bracket, the passenger side downstream o2 sensor was ceased to the point I couldn't turn it at all (tried the hammer on the wrench method and an IMPACT gun) and had to trim the ground wire on the passenger side right above the header to allow it to sit flush.

My advice to anyone else doing headers any time soon on their Camaro is to DEFINITELY have an air ratchet, taking these bolts out by hand sucked hard. You are definitely going to want 2 people working on this as it is pretty much impossible with just one. Also do those above things and it will go pretty quick.

putting a little heat on the 02 sensor base could have helped your situation...along with some PB blaster! I know these things can legitimately get seized and I am sorry for your frustration.

Lol it isn't personally your fault. I'm just ranting.
