does the muffler delete sound much different with the X?

Louder but not crazy loud. Also you get a bit of a pop /gurgle downshifting slowing down that i personally love. I get compliments on the sound but no complaints. I put 2 3" thrush welded mufflers on it to test out and it made it real deep no poping and only quieted a tad. If i run mufflers those will be it and there a steal at $30 ea on amazon. Lol for now ill leave it without mufflers untill the headers and cat deletes come along.
