I need help, Camaro has been down 5 months

your right I bought the car 6 years ago while in the Army since then I have been disabled. Just fixed it thought.......MAF. I just replaced two years ago with a refurb

Thanks everyone for your help it was the MAF. I had just replaced it two years ago (with a refurb). When it went bad then I got a fault light. For some reason this time no fault light causing me to think it was not a sensor but a fuel delivery problem. I wonder why it ran better though after I added the b-12 fuel system cleaner. Again thanks everyone for the help especially Speed kills and Caswell239 you two caused me to go out and purchase a new MAF with out being for sure that was the problem. Anyone know where I can get a Haynes or Chiltons manual for the car?

I'm really glad you got it worked out, and even happier that it was something simple and relatively inexpensive. The lack of a code is what threw me too. Also thanks for posting your finding and the solution. It makes this thread useful to others.

In response to the manual, I would really recommend springing for the GM service manual, as linked to. The main difference is that it comes directly from those that designed, engineered, and built the car. The others, while helpful, are written from the outside looking in perspective, and are not always completely accurate or thorough. I had a Haynes manual for my '96 Vette, then I got the FSM, and I was amazed by how much the Haynes manual left out.

You can also go to Alldata DIY, and purchase a years subscription for your car for somewhere around $20. Has everything the GM manual has plus all the wiring diagrams. It is handy to be able to print out things and take one page out to the car rather than the whole book.
