^ Ah, but what if you do not know where the track is?

I also have used my phone and I also have an old school Garmin with unlimited maps.

I like the factory Nav the best with turns showing up on the DIC and Hud.

The GPS in my '14 is hands down the best factory nav I have ever used.

Should you do it or not, depends on how much you need nav. I have traveled to different states and cities, and never bothered with it. I couldn't even tell you how it works, although I have used the map feature of it a couple of times.

If I had to pay more for it I would pass. If you need it, most say it works really well.

Congrats on your new Z your going to love it.

edit just read its aftermarket, for me its a pass on it.

Update: the dealership said its the GM radio guts, full warranty, apparently they just replace the "guts" from the radio and send my "guts" back to the company so they can add the NAV to those "guts"... I have the NAV on my...well my old 15' 1LE And it really is a good program... Honestly any traveling we do we take the wife's cushy car. I'm going to tell him that if its 100% stock to do it, otherwise nope. Thanks for all of your help.

I have the factory NAV in my 2014 but I use WAZE when I travel. A lot more accurate and real time traffic reports by other users.

The dealer isn't telling you the all thing , they are calling it an '!!!! Aftermarket !!!!!, but more than luckely it's the GM unit , there is no freaking way that GM would cover that for 36 months , if it's from a third party , no way

Just to add the Z is a great road trip car. Don't hesitate to take it out on a trip.

I have Nav, I've used it twice in ~20k miles.

Mostly use waze/google maps on phone for traffic info.
