Why?
I've gone over 100K-plus miles in a heads/cam engine and a heads/cam/stroker. Nothing magical about it......just a good build and steady maintenance.

It's not the quantity of miles, it's the quality of miles. adding performance at the expense of some longevity or reliability is personal preference. I guarantee you I get more smiles per mile out of my Camaro than a stock or bolt-on Camaro.
I fully expect to have a stroked out, cammed and ported LS7 in my Camaro before it hits 100k, so the longevity of this LS3 is of a little less concern to me. I do, however, expect it to be relatively reliable, and only forsee having to replace valve guides, valve seals, and springs before I hit 50k miles(I'm at 5k now). That whole job is a matter of a weekend project for me - really no big deal, and only a few hundred $ in parts.
