Your case is weak. I believe you, and am certain that this happened, exactly as you described: However, a court is going to demand proof, and you have none. The bitch will deny it, case closed.

And while I AM a big fan of the eye- for- an- eye method of going over there and kicking her f'n door in, you gotta keep in mind the idea that it might not even be her car... she may have only borrowed it from somebody else.

Hate to be the bearer of bad opinions, but my opinion is that you are screwed, and you'll probably just have to pony up and pay for somebody else being an a55hole.

If you had a witness then you could file a police report. Other than that if the damage requires body work then you could file a claim on your insurance policy; This may require a police incident report, as you would need proof that the other guy damaged your car.

Aside from reporting it, you'd just have to either live with it, or get a PDR and just be very picky about where you park the car. Its a crappy fact of life that a lot of us (myself included) have to deal with.

let it go, stuff happens, will always happen. Stressing over it makes your life miserable. Plus going to their house, you never know if they have any hidden cameras, where they would have proof if you did something.

Fix it, move on, be happy.

Also, now that lesson is learned, when it happens again, you can kick the hell out of their car, and maybe they won't want to speed off so quickly. Maybe they want to hang around as you speed off...lol.

Are you sure that's where they live, or just a house they stopped at to throw you off? If it is, you know her address. If her number is listed, you can find that, as well as her name (or at least the primary resident). With that much personal info you can wreak havoc on someone. I'm not going to post any ideas, that's up to you, your conscience, and Google to work out. I usually take the high road, but not in this case.

That sucks. Sorry to hear it.

If you have their address you could tell them (either in person or by letter) that you plan to file a claim in small claims court, or say you are going to call your insurance company to open up a claim against them (to have the whole door redone, which would be a few hundred dollars). Both of those would be bluffs, but you could shortly after offer to settle for $100 (which would likely cover the PDR instead of repainting the door, which would probably work just fine) in exchange for not pursuing it any further and for just ending the whole thing.

I would check with Lowe's and see if they have a recording of it on camera. Many businesses have cameras in their parking lots.

If they do, get a copy of it to take to court. It would be all the proof you would need.

All I read was that you couldn't chase down 2 fatties in a Toyota Corolla. Goodness man, that's what Camaros do best!

I live by the eye for an eye saying, you mess with mine I'm getting yours or you even worse. seeing a toyota or any import do this would just be the cherry on the top for me(honey get the checkbook for bail money). once came out to some big guy getting out of the passenger's side of a Ford focus swing his door into the side of my Cadillac xlr. He got a size 12 shoe print in the side of his door and got to see the side of anger management classes that never worked.

So is got their address via other means tracing the license plate, also I parked in the back of the lot away from everyone as I normally do so I doubt the cameras will catch it but I'll check and see.

You should kick their glass out and set fire to their car with them tied to the seats.

Kidding, just get it fixed and move on with your life. Maybe you could get her picture and post about how much of a looser she is all over the net.

If there is a "neighboring" business close to where you parked, it's possible they could have it on camera if Lowe's doesn't. Hope you get it and get justice.

The consideration of causing damage to their vehicle may seem "fair" at the time, but your actually lowering yourself to their level by doing this.

Their car did not cause this problem, they did.

Best regards on getting justice.

It's a door ding. Get it fixed and move on with your life. Do you really want to waste additional time and money trying to get someone to fix their negligence which will most likely end in you just becoming more frustrated?

It's just one of the many unfortunate issues you need to be prepared to deal with when owning a car. I'd much rather deal with fixing a door ding, then someone backing into my car and driving away.

All those who say they would seek revenge over a door ding have lost their minds or are keyboard commando's. In this crazy world we live in, the last thing a smart person would do is try to hunt/stalk/follow someone and confront them for something as trivial as a door ding. The shear amount of possible bad outcomes is endless.
