My 2010 SS was built on 9/14/09. It had the chicklets(which I took off), GM Performance badge. No back up sensors. My VIN is 46118.

I have an early build 2010 2ss RS. It does have the GM emblem from the factory. Also under the hood it has a small aluminum plaque that says GM Performance Division. Not sure if that's exclusive or not but it's sweet.

I had an early 2010 Aqua Blue.

Answers as follows:

1)I know the back up assist was added later on

Yes, the backup sensors were added about halfway to 3/4 of the way through the 2010 production run

2)I know if you pre ordered your car it will show up on the original window sticker
(but not on a copy)

Sure

3) I see a lot of the early 2010 with the silver GM emblem on the lower quarter, (behind the front wheels) but I do not see this emblem on the later 2010models. Did they stop installing it at one point during the 2010 model year?

As stated above, these were known as the GM chicklets. They were production on the early/mid 2010s.

4)I am aware that they discontinued Aqua Blue Metallic prior to the end of the 2010 model year, what was the cut off date?

November of 2009 was the cutoff

5) Was the beige interior option also discontinued early?

This I'm not sure of when it was discontinued, but it was definitely an option early on.

These are just a few of my questions, if there are any 2010 model year changes please post them
thanks!
Another little known fact is that the very early 2010 SS models had a "GM Performance" emblem under the hood towards the front clip. They stopped adding these even before the chicklets were removed.

They were stock

I believe the beige interior you refer to is a photo trick or bad lighting. It is the white/cream interior that sometimes looks beige. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty good. Just say'n

You might be good, but wrong this time

My car has the back up sensors and it's an early production #. A lease return I purchased in 2014. Produced in December of 2009.

Early 2010s did not have these.

It was a feature that never made it to the Camaro. My 2011 2SS doesn't have them either and isn't mentioned in the manual.

Are the additional ambient lights plugs in the dash visible from the front, or do you only see them behind the dash?

Do all 2010 Camaros have the GM performance division badge under the hood?
That's not how the LED light strip works. It's a visual cue for when to stop. When you first start backing up no lights will be on, then as you get closer to something 1 light will light up, then 2 lights, etc until all the lights on the strip light up. When all the lights on the strip light up, you stop.

The ABL plugs are hidden away in the wire harness behind the dash. To get to them you have to remove the sides of the dash and feel the harness for them and pull the plugs out of the harness, they are not something that is easily seen if you don't know they are there. But this isn't something that is just 2010 as the early 2011 models have them as well.

Only the early 2010 SS's have the badges under the hood as GM stopped putting them on shortly after filing bankruptcy. I think they stopped in July 2009 but I'm not sure. I do know it was before they stopped putting the chicklets on the fenders.

In Oct 2009 GM starting putting back up assist on the Camaro.

Aqua Blue was discontinued in Dec 2009. The cars themselves was still being built up to the end of Dec but you had to have your order in for one before Nov.

Beige interior was never discontinued and is still being offered today on the '15s. It's just not a popular color so you won't see many of them.
Production of the Camaro began in MAR 2009...I got mine on the 30 Apr 2009 Vin # 5116

My SS was built on 9/14/09 and doesn't have the backup sensors. How could yours have been built before mine and have the sensors.

As stated they started production in March. Mine was built 4/17/09 and is VIN # 3978. It has the chicklits and the GM Performance badge under the hood. It does not have backup sensors or even the spots for them on the bumper or HUD. It's a 2SS/RS with every option that was available at the time of production. Including sun roof and polished aluminum wheels.

GM Mark of Excellence, chicklet

"In 2005, It was announced that small silver emblems of the logo would be applied to the exterior of every 2006 GM vehicle. This was continued into 2007. A decision was made in August 2009 to stop using the GM "Mark of Excellence" badge on GM vehicles. It was agreed that with GM's post-bankruptcy focus on four core brands—and less of a focus on the GM brand—the relevance of the badge has diminished"

Because it has them?? This is information according to my build sheet and what my car has. It may have been a special order type deal.
