On my 2011, I didn't have mufflers per se...I had a Solo Performance, Mach-X catback, which is a mufflered x-pipe and straight pipe all the way to the tips. Never had any problems getting it inspected.

I did the Muffler delete on my 2011 SS and had no problems getting it in and out of inspection...Didn't have to pay anyone any extra money.

You'll get a hundred responses on how everyone's exhaust is the best.
It's tough to judge by videos.
I took the stock mufflers off my V6 and added short glass packs. ( Didn't want the BBBRRRRTTTTT sound that I heard on the muffler deletes)
I added an Apex scoop this weekend and I'd made it a little deeper.
Resonated X-pipe should get me where I want to be.
It's kind of a trial and error thing to get just what you want

Semper Fi right back atcha Devil Dog... I spent my entire 9 year hitch at Cherry Point (First wife didn't want to move away from her parents....UGH!!)

Apex scoop changed your exhaust sound? How?
I am leaning towards a muffler delete with x-pipe, but not 100% sure yet. The Borla cat back sounds REALLY good but I think I want more volume.

Does anyone know of a good shop to put a exhaust system on close to the Jacksonville area that won't charge an arm and a leg? I have wore my head and eyes out looking at YouTube videos and I am still not sure what I want to go with.......so many to choose. I might just go with the delete and if that does not work for me then I can always add more to it right?

VTSummit, the scoop let's the CAI draw a lot more air.
I noticed the difference in the exhaust as soon as I started it up
A system with a lot of volume might create more drone at highway speeds.
It might sound cool at first, but after a couple hours on the road it can get annoying
Mine is just about where I want it...

I just don't see how it would change exhaust note- the engine will only draw as much as it needs and the scoop only directs cooler air into the area where the filter is. It won't increase the amount of air the engine takes in- it simply makes it available and hopefully cooler in temp.

I went to Muffler Masters locally when I got my delete kit installed, but I don't see any in the Jacksonville area

They charged me $70 for an install. This was an axle back though from Solo.
