Off the top of my head, the Gen 3 Camaro Iroc was only 3200lb!

Like Deftones said, lol @ 200l's lol.

This is for you, not the 6th gen http://youtu.be/OMZYOvM8Fp4

to add to my rant about how ugly the new '16 is, I see a big correlation between most car company's designs: a big opening on the front fascia. It's partly why I don't like the front end of the 16 (although the headlights are pretty rad).

lighter, smaller footprint, and great potential to get lighter with weight reduction. couple that with the LT1, and the boat-sized zeta platform just feels so archaic, which in actuality it is being a 10-year-old platform.

i am waiting for a 1le or zl1 to make the jump.

I never liked camaros since they were reborn but the 1le tied it all together well. Yeah, it's heavy but it doesn't have the drawbacks of a heavy car if that makes sense. The new SS is lighter but make no mistake about it, it's still heavy. Cars start getting light when they are around 3200 pounds so you might want to go with a vette next if weight is your primary concern.

I was very happy with my 1LE. I just wanted a smaller and lighter Camaro. GM delivered.

Dont like Corvettes. If I was only concerned with weight and size, I would get a miata.

What so sad about the 6 gen is GM had a clean piece of paper to start with and they could have done anything with the body on the car they wanted to do . They did not have the balls to go with a newer shape or fix the vision out the car. So now the Camaro fan is stuck with this 2/3 scale car with no real vision fix and a body that dose not work it just sad. I will not bail them out by buying one .

Why would they need to start with a clean sheet when the previous model was so successful. Just because it didn't meet your vision it's a failure? Won't you feel stupid when spring rolls around and sales numbers soar and prove you wrong. There is no such car that has ever existed that everybody loved it. Even in the beginning of the introduction of the 5th gen there were a fair share of haters that had something to complain about the car, but guess what? There were plenty of people that didn't let minor details detract from getting to experience the overall pleasure of driving a Camaro. That is what it's all about and as long as GM/CHEVY continue to give that experience, it will be successful....

For us that grew up with the original the 5th reminds me most of that car and the times we loved.

If you like the way the 6 gen looks more power to you
Now when I am ready to move on form my 1LE I will not be getting a new GM car . I be right up front I never been a GM fan . The 1LE Camaro was the first
GM car I wanted to try in 20 years so I am thinking it will take them another 20 years before I think about getting one again. One more thing My 1LE has been one of the best cars I have had I just hate the new body styling GM has gone to . I also hate the look of the C7 Vet to . What the new GM thinks looks good and what I think looks good is not the same thing I must be getting to darn old .

I love the gen5 setup. But I also love the gen5 retro 69 look. The car to me screams I am big and I am bad. The gen6 has a more refined look that if that is what I wanted, I would have bought something else.

But how long can gm sell that look to me.

Gen6 is a step away from the big meaty american muscle look, while maintaining that feel.
