When you increase the pipe size of your system, the vehicle will generally gain a bit of volume and your tone will become a little deeper. Flowmaster Outlaw Series race mufflers are designed to reduce higher-pitched tones and rasp, but not much else. They are a very aggressive muffler that will provide a similar level of volume to being straight piped. If you are looking for a significantly deeper tone, I would recommend running a pair of Flowmaster’s chambered street mufflers.

My best recommendation would be that you take a look at the full Outlaw Cat-back (#817556) exhaust system, rather than cutting and welding various components of your exhaust. The Outlaw Cat-back (#817556) for 10-13 Camaro SS 6.2L features a kit-specific pair of mufflers based off of our 11" Outlaw design. This system is only available with full 3.00" diameter tubing, but we do offer 11" Outlaw Series mufflers in a 2.50" diameter, part #815425. Fabrication will be required if you intend to install these mufflers into your current system and I highly recommend that you contact our tech line at 707-544-4761 for further information and pricing.
