There is no one here that has insulted you. You are taking it the wrong way. You ask a question and I among others have gave you answers to your questions several times and have offered up what they would do if the car was theirs. We are here to help each other and everyone who has chimed in was giving you good advise. You can take it how ever you like it but do not come back here and scold anyone for trying to save your motor from throwing a rod out of the side of your block if it is not tuned right because it will damage your motor. Unless you are a slow learner you should take the advice we have given you.

I don't deny Mike has more knowledge than me. I must have taken it the wrong way. My line of buisness I deal with people who are just rude and inconsiderate my apologies. With that said. The forged rods if I have read tuned right can go years with 750 horses to the wheels. So not the weakest part of the car. I am just worried about the Pistons now.

Without detonation you will be just fine. Many of us have well north of 800-1000whp and no issues. The tune is key. There are a number of people who have had failures with 600whp with a bad tune.

Thank you for the informative reply. I guess we will see how the tune goes. He is a new shop here in the Texas area. Great kid. Now let's see his tunning skills and i just needed reassurance as this is my first go on a newer model car. That is all. Thanks for the replies and have a blessed week.

The tune is key as stated in some other posts. I would not want to go into a build with a "let's see how the tune goes" mentality. That is just my opinion. Best of luck to you.

It was meant to be more humerious than anything. However people didn't take it that way. I wouldn't let someone tune on my car if I had any feeling he was going to detonate the motor. It's not that kind of shop guys. It's a very clean very professional shop. They are just new and really the only shop around my area. And him being a "ford" guy I was just making a joke of it.

For me....experience and reputation are much more valuable to me than "feelings" in making a decision on someone doing something to my "baby". Seems like a "ford" guy wont have much experience on Chevy/GM. Absolutely NO WAY is a brand new shop....no matter how clean....touching the tune on my "baby".
You asked for advice, yet you don't seem to want to hear it or heed it....good luck to you man....I hope things go well for you....I also believe that if you were to take some of the really good advice given to you, that I wouldn't be hoping it goes well for you, I would be quite confident that it would!

Just as Zack said the tune is the key......I would be very hesitant to work with a new shop. If the tune is right I know many people north of 900 RWHP that have sprayed the heck out of there cars and have no problems...Including myself. I would be more worried about the pistons and not the rods since they are not forged. TUNE, TUNE, TUNE is the key. Good luck!

No I don't mind the criticizing comments ask I do listen. Ta just the remarks such as "I worry about the car and it's not even my car" I learn as I read and I am taking yalls advice seriously. I just don't have a local shop within 50 miles of me and that's the closest one. And it's better than tes as I have heard. I will let you guys know how it goes tonight.

That is what he is asking about now is the pistons. Everyone who has chimed in has told him the tune is very important and if it is not right he stands a chance to ruin the motor. Also he has been told that he better have a tuner who knows how to tune these LSA motors and not to just let someone who has tuned the motors in the SS camaro's. He also said it is a new shop [which is ok if they know what they are doing] but said the guy who is tuning it is a ford mechanic then he said he was just joking about that. I really think he is headed for trouble if he does not listen to this board on what to do. He ask for this board's advise and he got alot of answers trying to put him in the right direction to avoid ruining his motor. I just hope he paid attention so he won't have to get his billfold out and spend a bunch to repair his car from a tuner that is "supposed" to know how to tune a LSA motor.
