Thanks, me too!!

Had some goodies arrive today:

It's hard to see but there's anti-galling compound on the threads for O2 sensors.

After wash pic today:

Bought some wheel adapters today. People tend to hate or love them. They worked out great for me. They're 25mm offset or approximately 1"

The adapters are 'hub centric' so they center themselves to prevent vibrations. They're made from aluminum to save weight.

Put thermal sleeves on spark plug wires:

Bought two rolls of this stuff to wrap headers this weekend. It's not made with fiberglass and does not require wetting or silicon paint for installation.

I'll be updating with little projects while I'm getting everything for head/cam swap coming up soon

A quick note about the exhaust... the rear muffler hangars were installed backwards by the shop (installation free can't be too mad), causing them to be lower than normal in previous pics. I've since swapped hangars and exhaust doesn't drag in my driveway anymore!

How much were the thermal sleeves because that actually looks like it is worth it in the long run.

The sleeves seem like a good idea. I've heard of headers melting wires or wire insulation degrading over time due to heat. I bought mine from auto zone but had to remove the metal ring in the sleeve before installation (spark plug boot wouldn't pass through ring). There are other options too besides the sleeve if you don't like the look (I like the old-school sleeve look). Check here: http://www.designengineering.com/cat...ire-protection

Wrap done! Definitely more time consuming than I was expecting but turned out great.

I wrapped a small portion of the mid pipe up to the cat.

End result!

Worth it? Yes, if you've got time to kill.

I've noticed my electric fans don't run as much and coolant temp stays lower in band. I was surprised to see how quickly coolant temp dropped when fans did kick on at stoplight. I'm guessing this is due to the radiator and headers no longer fighting for heat dissipation out the hood scoop.

Just a quick update... I was having issues with front suspension noise and took the time to 'mechanic tight' all the suspension bolts. NO MORE SUSPENSION NOISE!! This is a must for all 5th gens.
