Maryland requires a front plate but I haven't run one since I bought the car. Have gotten one warning for it but I'm still not running a front plate. I should get on that though just in case. Going with a JacFab plate mount since I am not going to drill those holes in the bumper lol

Front plates on these cars are a crime against humanity.

I see plenty here in Texas without front plates, now a ticketable offense. But I never give an officer a reason to pull me over.

Alternative to Holes in Bumper

Nobody has mentioned the Eliminator Bracket for a while. A small black rectangle mounts in the grill and the license plate gets screwed to a fixture that can be snapped on and off the car in seconds. No holes in car and it won't rub on the finish. Works great.

I don't have a picture, my 1LE is in a heated hangar for the winter.

I'm in WA, and I've never had a front plate on either one of my Camaros. In something like 5 years, I never got stopped for it. I got a ticket one time and the cop mentioned it after the fact, but didn't put it as part of the citation. I've got plenty of other questionable things on my car. You're fine. Don't ruin it with a plate. Even the hide-away ones look dumb. And what's the point anyway? You unhide it when you get pulled over? Please. Don't waste your money.

No drilling so no blemishes/damage to the front bumper.
Looks better than the monstrosity I currently have! Have to look into that.

I got a JacFab flat plate bracket. No drilling required.

I went with the JacFab plate holder that is bent to the contour of the front fascia and pushed it back as close as possible to the fascia without touching. I put a couple of strips of foam to protect the paint from the plate in the vertical direction. The plate holder already comes with the foam strips for underneath.
This thing is like a mini skid plate/locomotive cow catcher and has taken plenty of abuse while saving the car. I have personalized plates and the plate contours nicely without creasing the plate. I also went with a black metal plate frame to give a more finished look and protect the bottom of the plate on sharp ingress and egress situations. I also don't need the hassle of being pulled over for nothing.

Does anyone know if the Eliminator Bracket Company is still in buisness?
