i went to the bank yesteday to get a cashiers check so i could close on my house and a guy wlking to his truck stops and said nice car. what color and all that. then later at walmart a guy in a magnum drives by while on his phone and says awesome car. it felt sweet. pulling up to the gas pump and forgetting it is on the passenger side did not feel sweet.

im not having a great time so far, i've gotten a few compliments, but i mostly get jealous looks. why? i wanna be like all of you and have people give in and be vulnerable and tell me they think its cool instead of talking about mpg/my job/the interior that is 'not as good as the challenger's' (what?!).

however i must say i was walking towards my car outside a shop and there was an older guy (abt 50-60) standing at the front just looking it up and down. he was truly gazing. i walked up and said 'whattya think?' and without taking his eyes off the car, began talking about how the back end 'hips' were so unique, and appealing. i told them they attempted to bring some of the 1st gen feel back, and we ended our conversation a couple minutes later....

that guy looked at me like 2 times, he almost never took his eyes off the car.

I have a few high-schoolers and a few elementary kids walk by my work and take pictures of my car. The receptionist lets me know when anything is going on around my car. A few of our vendors drool over my car as well.

i failed to mention i drove around and faced the other direction i was and parked at the pump. and did it again. very imbarrassing. but i just closed on the house and went to buy a refrig and some new furniture, so i had a lot on my mind.

I pulled up right next to one of the new Challengers at a Gas station down the street and the guy asked me if I wanted to trade. It was cool cause we sat there talking about eachothers cars for like 25 minutes.

Unfortunately I had to turn him down. :\

Today - just today mind you, a small kid, bout 5-6, walking with his dad sees me making a turn in front of them. Kid stops and points and starts talking to his dad. Couldn't hear what he said but you can guess when you look at my sig.

Then stopped at the base commissary, one of the cart wranglers, young guy, walks up, "how do ya like it", "great color," etc.

Later I'm heading into Advance and gentlemen walks out, "great car." I get that ALL the time.

I get compliments on my car all the time. There are soo many people that have taken pictures and will stop and look when I have it parked in lots (well away from danger). Others will come up while I am sitting in it or putting groceries in the trunk .... I bet that last statement made alot of you cringe LOL!! My favorite line I've heard so far is... Beautiful, just beautiful and the car ain't bad either!

I was driving thru the Chrysler lot the other day looking for the new Grand Cherokee and some kids rode by on bikes and yelled, "Don't do it! Don't get a Dodge!!! Keep the Camaro! It's beautiful!" I had a warm fuzzy all day.
