Shouldn't our significant others be adoring us as we drive the vehicle instead of looking 'out' of it?

My wife didn't mention it and she is also 5'4", but as soon as I said something about the seat height, she said that she might like being able to raise it a little bit, but she was basically fine with it as is.

The dash/hood, and door height is one of those things that i just can't comprehend. They've built great looking Camaro's in the past without supersizing the height. I'd love a Q and A session with the people that make these decisions.

How tall is your lady?
My wife is five feet tall. I am six feet and I have my seat adjusted higher than her's will go so I understand her complaints. Moving the seat forward creats airbag issues as in being too close to it if it deploys.

=caverman;977591] He said there is around 800 sensors in the seat and that they have to go through all new saftey crash testing. He also said there is one for leather seats and one for cloth seats (leather=heated seats; cloth=not). Sounds like it's going to be an electric adjustment not manual...otherwise why would the leather/cloth make a
That has to be the lamest most offensive thing I have ever heard. No wonder these car companies can't make any money........... I am sure its related to the "smart" airbags

If you really want to fix it, buy a drivers seat from a right side drive car. I know thats not much of an option right now, but most likely all of the bolts are in the same position making it an easy modification. I did this for my wife in my Mitsubishi 3000gt. She loves being able to raise the seat up, as well as having the side and lumbar supports that she can adjust for those long rides. All I had to do was bring power over from the drivers seat. The connection for monitoring the seat belt was the same on both the old and new seat. And before you ask, yes i have a Camaro on order Cyber Gray/Black 2SS. Going to keep the 3000gt though.

Be careful with that option. Given that the passenger seat in LHD cars detects the presence and weight of the passenger to know when to enable/disable/reduce airbag deployment, the driver's seat from a RHD car may not contain those same sensors.

I think it would be a great idea for an electric seat on the passenger side, I am 5'9 and when I went out to do the test drive I was in the passenger seat until my salesmen got the car in a position to let me drive, my head was slightly skimming the roof and when we switched spots he had to crunch down some cause he is around 6'5 or better...

My wife is 5' 3'' and does complain about the seat height. Any OEM modification would be appreciated.

My wife is 5'2" hasn't said anything yet about the pass seat height... but, she probably doesn't really want to see the road when I'm driving... honestly, I think she wants an "Oh Sh&t" handle instead of a higher seat...

It sure is complicated now.
