This V8 is a performance engine (Yea so was the LFX but it is in another league) and I want the best for this car. My goal is to keep this car for years and years to come. With that being said this is my daily driver I've occasionally been known to have a lead foot. but that is it. I want to track it someday because this is a track car. and that is why even more of a reason to ask these questions. So again sorry if I sound like a noob about this I come to these forums to learn and get people's feedback and years if not decades of experience with Camaro's and muscle cars for that matter.
No apology needed, dude. Just wanted some more info to get a better understanding of how the car was maintained for the first 10K miles. Sounds like you're doing fine with the engine oil, and changing it with a good synthetic every 3000-5000 miles is fine for normal street/spirited street driving. You can certain change out the trans fluid at this point, but it's probably not needed. Same with the rear end. Bottom line though, if it makes you feel better about the cars condition, have at it. If you have the cash, do it. After this initial change though, if you're not tracking the car, or driving in a "severe duty" manner, you can wait on the trans and rear end for another 20-30K miles. When it doubt, follow the manufacturers recommendations.
