67 Camaro fender emblems/flags

Here are a few pictures of my RJT with the 67 camaro fender emblems applied. They come with the tabs on the back. I just cut them off with a cut off wheel and applied them using the 3M emblem tape. I am happy with the way it turned out.

Yep, those are the ones!!! They're a pretty good quality "sticker", but not worth $57 (IMHO). After looking at it, I think the reproduction '67 V-Flags are the way to go. I'm regretting my decision now, I should have left them off and sold them on ebay!!!

it do look cool but personally I like the picture from the Camaro get together posted last week of the 2010 with all the old emblems from the ~1st gen. If it were me I'd probably remove the SS badge and replace it with the old fashioned one, and probably add one below the Camaro badge on the fenders.

Thanks for all the pictures and replies, guys!

After seeing more pictures of Vette's flag emblem on the web, I found that while the older gen Corvette indeed have cross flag emblem, the current production uses a V shape emblem.

ddunerider - you photos were the one that spark my desire for flag emblems, they look damn good on your SIM Camaro.

codo - 2010 Camaro with all the old emblem would be so bad ass, can anyone find and post the link to that thread?

I'm looking at Corvette's emblem because they match the modern lettering of the Camaro fender better in my imagination. (won't know til I see'em together)

They are NOT brushed aluminum, they are a soft flexible vinyl with a generous "clear coat" over them. They may be a brushed aluminum "color", but they are not made of any kind of metal. They are "stick-on" vinyl decals!!! Granted, they are very good quality vinyl decals, but still, for the money, I was expecting some "metal" emblems as the auction led me to believe. So, even though I was disappointed, I just spent $57 (w/shipping) on these darn things, so I went ahead and installed them under the "Camaro" on the front fenders. Sorry, no pictures to show yet!!! They don't look bad, but they definitely don't look as good as I had hoped. To be honest, I wish I had gone with the metal '67 reproduction V-Flags like several others have done. I still may do that sometime in the future, after I get over the "kick in the junk" of wasting $57!!!!! Just my opinion, thought ya'll might be interested since you're discussing these emblems.

Later.....
Thanks for the heads up. Was thinking about rocking those too...Not so much anymore...

Were the flag emblems only ever put on V8 cars, or did 6 cylinder cars sport the flags emblem back in the day?

YES there were V-flags on V8's, back in the day....if fact some of the the V8 cars V-flags had the size of the engines on them just below the V, 327, 350, 396, and even 427.

Only the early big blocks had the engine size above the V the later ones had it below below the V, the last year or so they were used the small block V had no engine size designation at all...

They wouldn't have used V flags on a 6 cylinder because they were not V6's they were straight 6's
6 cylinder Nova had it's own emblem back in 63 and 64, it looked like this

The V flags were only used on the 67 and I think the 68 Camaro but they may have been, in 69 they just put the numbers of CI size in front of the front side marker lights.
No second Gen had the V flags.
