have done it a couple times but my shocks on the trunk are a little weak so it doesn't open all the way up but will stay up once I raise it. basically no rain got in because it doesn't open enough to allow any in. keep it in my shirt pocket of my dress shirt generally, try to not put in a pocket with anything else.

It looks like they changed put in a fix for that in the 15s. I had a 14, and I only had to quickly press and release the button to pop the trunk. On my 15 I have to hold it down for a couple of seconds before the trunk opens. Maybe enough people brought it up that GM actually did something about it.

There's a relay on EBay that requires 2 clicks of the fob for the trunk to open an think it's like 35-40 bucks. This has happened to me multiple times and is frustrating!!!

Happened all the time on my 2010. They fixed it on the 2015. Personally I find it irritating to have to hold the trunk button for a couple of seconds to open it, but I guess if you're going to keep your keys in your pocket, it's a trade off.

I had a 14 and a 15. Never had this happen to me. Both key fobs required me to hold the button down. I actually think the amount of time you have to hold it is unnecessarily long. Guess not LOL

Heh, maybe once every couple of months, I walk out to my car one morning and find the trunk lid open. Not open all the way up, but open nevertheless. No idea how it happens, it just does.

Good thing I don't have much in there aside from some basic tools and flashlight. Easily replaced should things in there disappear.

Maybe somehow mount a catch can to your belt and put the keys in there instead of your ultra tight jean pocket? Just spit ballin here.

I have never opened the trunk, but I DID set off the panic alarm on my 2012 with my keys in my pocket.
