I have the BBK 1 7/8 ceramic coated long tube headers and the high flow cats. I kept the stock npp exhausts. Not sure about your drone question but they fit great and no drone on my camaro.

My car was used as a test mule for BBK's LT's several years ago. The owner of BBK bought a 5th gen to get the R&D work done and have a car available 24/7. There are zero fitment issues with their long tubes. I've had both the 1.75" and 1 7/8" LT's as well as both the 95mm and 102mm TB's.

My car is running their full 3" exhaust right now with 1 7/8" LT's and the "vari-tune" mufflers. I'm not sure if this system has even been released yet and I've had it over a year. Zero drone because you can adjust the baffles in each muffler to change the pressure/pitch.

YOUR car may not have fitment issues, but I have seen them first hand hitting the passenger side frame rail and rubbing against the steering shafts as well on the same car. I know there will always be variances, but from what I have personally seen, you couldn't give me a set of them. I'll stick with Speed Engineering. Everyone who has used them so far that I know has had zero issues. Seriously, I haven't seen a pair of worse fitting headers for a looong time. I don't know how the dude wrestled the damn things on there.

MINE were installed in less than 2 hours, never disconnected the steering shaft and didn't hit anything. Not sure how a computer controlled bending process could screw up its only job, but I guess it's possible.

Maybe Paco had a rough night and hit the wrong button or put the wrong headers in the wrong box. Who knows. Did he exchange them or just say screw it and kept them?

I have BBK as well but i went with shorties. Did not have any fitment issues either. The only issue I had is common with all the headers: it is better to have your spark plugs off during the install

Yeah that's about the time it took for my Speed Engineering headers too. I coulda gotten away with not pulling the shaft, but it wasn't hard to pull it apart and put it back. Yes, he just let them be. I feel for the poor bastard, as I know it was probably a bitch and a half to get them in. I can see an engine mounted in a slightly different spot and it hitting one side or the other, but both sides is a badly produced set, all there is to it. I gotta say, the most pita part of my install was dealing with that damn dipstick tube.

You don't happen to have a video of this set up do you? Been thinking about that exact combo for mine.

Thanks!

I don't. I'm getting a new motor put in right now so it would be a couple of weeks before I could even get one.

Additional question. Thinking I'll pull the trigger on this in the coming month or so. I'll also probably get a mail order tune from PCM of NC.

Now my next question is, I know the oil pump can be a weak point in the LS3, I'm 55,000 miles in without issue and I am just wondering if anyone would suggest swapping out the OE pump for a new pump?

I'm a stickler with my oil changes, not a 100 miles over 5,000 miles every time. I feel like my car is healthy but I just want to make sure. I noticed a lot of the failures come from someone swapping in a bigger cam just from a quick google search but I just wanted to see some expert advice.

It's good piece of mind on the LS3.
