That pic of your car and Oshawa sign was unplanned..I was sitting behind you an messing with my XM. I looked up and fought to find my camera. I have one more I think.

Here are a few more pictures of the days events. Some folks captured pics during the tour as we were allowed to bring cameras into the plant! Most of us need to catch up on our sleep before we can explain in any comprehensive detail how the front and rear suspensions are made.

I will say that you get a very real sense of what just-in-time inventory is all about with this plant. They deliver 11 times a day! Not sure how Joe sleeps at night but what a tight operation he keeps!

The neatest thing we learned is that the pieces are made to order so that each piece is built for a specific car currently on the line! The plant is hooked up with Oshawa's production computer and the VIN numbers are put on the pieces even before they are fully built!

It's the natural, unplanned shots that always turn out the best, thanx again.

Great shots. I really do envy those who got to enjoy the weekend. I have to ask what was the re action to guests at the motel seeing all those great rides all in a row in the parking lot.

I forgot my camera in the car, but the wifey managed to capture one good cell phone photo of me checking out those Brembo weights ( they are black now). The assemblies I saw were for car 54260-54268 ( so if this is your vin, they're working on your car )

It's amazing how their "just-in-time delivery" works. If just one piece is missing from an assembly, the whole plant basically stops ( talk about pressure )

Our tour guide was great ( sorry, I can't remember your name.... I'm soooo bad with names )..... I was parked next to your "Martinrea" edition Camaro, your engine cover is sweet ..... Thank YOU, and the staff for your hospitality, and time

Yeah that was incredibly interesting. Also I think he mentioned that each worker only has 40 seconds to complete their task, until the next one comes along. Then if there are any mistakes or anything, the entire line gets stopped until it's fixed. I asked one of the other guys (I didn't catch his name) how long that usually takes, and he said it's only about a minute or two.

Also the guy who gave us the tour, I think his name was Joe..?

And I have to say, that was great of these guys to let us check everything out! Also with the bbq... What hospitality

Great guys (and gals)!
