Oh Wow. That is not acceptable in my opinion. I ordered my Camaro the first week in Jan and the car arrived at the dealership 7 weeks later.

Do you know if his was held for a reason?

Mine is held for NO reason. The Shipper overlooked mine and NOBODY has done anything about it.

As of today it's 57 Days from BUILT and (93 DAYS from when I ordered it )

I am with you! Although I have not been waiting as long for my car after the build, i too have been waiting as long since placing my initial order. I had to endure four weeks of dealer lies first.

I am with laborsmith, I don't know that I will do the SRE route ever again - at least with GM. There is a new age of car buying coming. It will be interesting to see who survives when the geeks enter the car market. Perhaps the customer service level and transparency will finally be raised to acceptable levels.

As someone already stated.... I was 78 days from build. Mine was simply lost in the shuffle.

Good luck!

Wow, that is the worst I've seen.
You were not held for some defect ?
What did you do to get it moving ?

Shipping logistics appears to be the weak link in the GM supply chain. Maybe Amazon will own that segment soon. Perhaps they will deliver your next car via drone. Boy the future is scary, but the present is still very frustrating.

Unless the "geeks" can perfect the manufacturing process (read: remove the human element entirely) and then ensure perfect and uninterrupted supply lines, nothing is going to change.

Delays are a pain in the ass, but its our safety that they ultimately have in mind.

Absolutely unacceptable. Mine was built 2 weeks ago, my dealer is 2 hrs from the plant, and I'm already getting pissed. People in Tennessee have gotten their cars already. I've prepared myself to abandon my order and be done with GM for good if I don't get my car soon. I refuse to support a company that doesn't value their customers. Especially when they sold less than 6k camaros last month!

All these stories are absolutely unacceptable. The fact that there is not a system in place that ensures cars don't get left behind baffles me to no end. I mean, this isn't socks we're ordering off the internet...these are $50,000 cars in some cases. It's insane.

I sincerely hope you guys get moving soon.

GM has this really bad habit of washing their hands of things once something goes to a third party, even though it is part of the supply chain. They have yet to learn that their customer service needs to extend all the way through the supply chain, and not just to their own little production world. Issues with their independent shipper, as well as their independent dealers, are still really their issues. They carry the responsibility of the brand as much as production and marketing.

All that being said it does not fix your problem. I don't know if you could get these people to respond, but I think in GM's eyes, these are the people "responsible" for your issue.

If I were you, I would review and watch this first:
http://www.jackcooper.com/about/profile-mission

Then I would call the Logistics Group and calmly explain that you have reviewed their 5 core values and hope that they can help.

http://www.jackcooper.com/contact/contact

I would explain that it is your understanding that their company has responsibility in this area and GM has not been able to escalate your issue properly to them. You would like to ask for some assistance, based on their core values.

If you do this, please let us know how it goes.

Great info thanks! I guess we can see why Jack Cooper has grown from 120 employees to over 4,000 in such a short period of time.

Autoport's Mission statement and web site???? - http://autoportinc.com/mission_statement.php and philosophy http://autoportinc.com/philosophy.php for anyone interested.

Not top confuse anyone, but some searches come up as http://www.cn.ca/ as owning Auto Port Limited.
