For a 2010-2013 we have to take our bumpers off no matter what, right?

Get that, but we fixed the trailer so you can open the door all the way and step out, but your way works too.

For the front I used the Moreno crash bar replacement and a renline tow hook that was made for the bar.
No other way to get mine in the trailer other than winching. Way to narrow to drive in.

I must say that I'm a little disappointed w my ZL1 tow hook. Installation went fine but part of the hardware is carbon steel and is starting to lightly rust after a few car washes and the "TOW" screen printing is coming off from bugs hitting the front (didn't realize bug juice was so toxic).

Not sure if I just received a sub standard piece or if this is standard procedure? Or am I just being unreasonable?

I make a similar bar. It is aluminum and weighs 4 pounds with the bracket in place. The rear bar is 4.5 pounds.

What do you do with the strap when you drive the car?
Let it flap around? Or take it off? Or?

Surprisingly, it doesn't seem to flap around. Initially we used a zip tie to hold them in place against the grille. We forgot to secure one after unloading from the trailer. Watching the car down the straight and through a couple of corners, there was minimal movement
