There's a flat side on the pins, make sure they slide into place not force into place. Also, you didn't need to disconnect the harness. Just slide them in with the harness connected to connector. You'll get a solid feel to your connection. Then tape and zip tie.

Thanks for the help. I'm just not getting it done. It's like driving a Mack truck into a shot glass. I'll have another look tomorrow.

Thanks for the help Creeper.

Ouch! That pin was forced way too much.

Found out something that really helped this morning. I removed this blue piece.

I stripped a little off the end of the hot wire. Then slipped it over the top of the red wire in the harness. With the blue piece removed, you can see were to position the stripped wire(it's a little off in the picture below, but I got it in position best I could before replacing the blue piece). Then I did the same with the ground pin(still intact). The blue piece then compresses and secures the 2 wires in place, just by replacing it.

Then placed it back into the air bag plug and replaced the other parts.

Now, I just need to get the mount in place, and I'm ready to go.

If the stripped hot wire is touching another wire, would there be a clear sign of that? Or, by the fact that it is functioning, can I assume things are fine? In other words, is what I have done unsafe? Thanks.

Good come back. I think it's safe to say, you did it. As far as I can see you did good.
