Possibly yes. Not saying it's impossible, but there could be more to it than simply replacing the empty space with information.

Amen.

Though in this case, given that they are requesting information be displayed that is already being passed to the DIC (just on another screen), this type of change shouldn't require any more than a simple re-write of a few lines of code to draw the info into "page 1" instead of "page 2" or whatever.

As a web programmer...I deal with this crap all the time. The only time a horrified look crosses my face is when a customer requests something that wasn't previously planned and/or isn't integrated into the existing program at all. A customer that requests information to show up "here" instead of "there" is a breath of fresh air.

And the SDK idea would be an awesome feature!

Side business? I'd be willing to fire up a C-corp for this.

I still think a (fairly simple) idea of mine would be worthwhile:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16818

Integrating the technology in the Camaro with the outside world would open up all kinds of possibilities.

If we can convince GM to allow a software partner, I'll start a company. We'll have to let the rest of camaro5 in, of course....

Current primary is C++ but that changes as times change. I've been writing software for (ack!) 29 years now, and adaptability is king.
