Sure, there will be those that move over for the performance improvement, or because they don't have a Camaro yet.

I'm really not surprised at all. Way too much money, boring to look at and way too small interior. Many other good options out there for the money they want for a loaded SS. I also predict the 2017 ZL1 will be in the same boat.

Base on the SS price, I guess the ZL1 will be in 80k range. Whats gona happen with the Z28 then? 100k?!

Wanted a 2017, was looking at the 2016, bought a 2013 and couldn't be happier. Had the 6th gen looked like the 1970.5-1973 it'd be selling far better.

I wish the 6th Gen would have broke away from the looks of the 5th Gen. Let the 5th Gen stand on it's own. You could have had a whole different group of buyers and more interest of some 5th gen owners wanting to trade for the next Gen. Look what happened when the Mustang had a big change in 2015, S197 to S550!

With good credit and 5k down it's $620 per month for a Mustang GT and $748 for a similarly equipped 2SS Camaro on a 5 year contract. The 6K+ difference in street price WILL make a difference for many muscle car shoppers.

People will even fool themselves into believing the Mustang is better (or as good) when faced with those payment options.

I know GM sold a LOT to rental fleets as I looked at a lot of Camaros before purchasing mine, and the lions share were from previous rental fleets.

What I see is the 6th Gen is in a different class than a 5th Gen. GM upped the handling, power, comfort and price. The 6th Gen SS is more like a luxury sport sedan than a traditional muscle car.

The Mustang is less refined, less powerful. less comfortable and at a fairly substantial difference in price.

I think they are apples and oranges now.

You found your secret sauce, then proceeded to "make it better". You assumed you did, so you decided that it also justified a higher price. You screwed the pooch.
Just summing up how many of us 5th Genners feel about GM's new Camaro. I bought not 1, but 2 5th Gens, my dad bought one as well. Neither of us plans on ever owning a 6th Gen. Just 2 die-hard Camaro guys opinions. Your opinion may vary.

Spot on!!!! I had a 50 dollar offer from GM to test drive the 6th Gen and didn't do it.

Gen 6 comes out and some can't wait for a refresh!

I sat in a Gen6 and it was too tight for me.. The extra width on the Gen5 is more suited for my big ass...

Maybe the reintroduction of the Camaro was a one hit wonder. They hit the nail on the head with the 5th Gen in a lot of ways. The 6th gen, IMO, has yet to justify its price and why GM says its "better" than a 5th Gen. I still cant the the difference between the two until I'm physically right up on it. I wonder how long if this continues, which it seems it shall, before either a refresh or another bow out.

No, that would not be accurate.
