Lol I've seen stock camaros get pretty close to that time. It's still just an overpriced taurus.

Funny, ain't it? Makes the Coyote look even more a "dude.. just put it in now and stop futzing with it."

*these are the times I recall reading from when Ford was testing the Ecoboost in the Taurus at Milan; boosted Flex ran a 14.5 too.

The car is a Taurus SHO not a regular Taurus. It runs 13.7 stock and it weighs 4400lbs. Don't know where you got a 14.5 from.

A 12.75 with just a tune is impressive considering all the weight it is lugging around and yes the tune added 4-5 psi.

The Flex weighs way more but who cares what that runs anyways.

I think its funny that Ford has a Sedan that competes. I would be butthurt if I was a stang guy. Kind of like how the Vette guys gett butthurt when there is a camaro faster than their car.

Disclaimer....I realise not all Mustang owners will be butthurt by this. I also realise that not all vette owners get or would get butthurt if GM made a car faster than the corvette.

Most of us don't care because the 5.0 is only 4 months away.

Ok, so my numbers were wrong. I wasn't razzing on the SHO. More like saying the pre-pro Tauruses and the Flex at Milan were running insane 1/4 miles. I'm just saying that it was shocking to see the car pull that kind of stuff.

Not to mention kinda cool.

Now if we can get our LHD Commodore back the wars are on...

back on topic please. The fact is that GM doesnt have anything to compete with the Taurus. Unless you count the CTS-V But then th price range issue comes back.

Cause it's very valuable to make comparisons of vehicles with different skilled drivers in the car.

A Camaro with a tune and a pro driver would be running 12.6/12.7

how is this a camaro killer?
