When I get my car tires and wheels are coming off and being sold, hopefully it will be a win-win, someone who needs new factory tires gets a good deal, and it will be less out of pocket for me to get some Nittos and HREs

I do not like these Pirelli's at all will not buy them...ride is choppy on these tires compared to Good Year tires on other sports cars I have owned. Called Pirelli found out these tires were there first 20" size and made for the new camaro. Thinking we are driving their "beta" 20" tires and that is why there are so many weights on brand new tires and rims? Also notice new mustangs withe exact tires have a ton of weights also? Doubt Chevy and new ford rims are out that much and reqiure for all these weights to balance properly?

Thanks!
I got Nutek 505's. I'm going to see about getting the speedo recalibrated next week. I can actually feel a bit of difference in not only the acceleration, but the overall feel of the car is now more sure-footed and balanced. Adding an inch of tire width in the front has made quite a difference in the feel of the car; less understeer and the steering feels more balanced. Suspension mods are on my "to-do" list and I want to get it lowered about an inch.

The Hankooks so far have been great. They are quiet, solid and the car rides like it's hugging the ground now. Here's a couple pics of the car with the new wheels... I had them custom painted in the old Sunoco yellow/gold colors of the 1969 Penske/Donohue Trans Am cars and their Sunoco Ferrari:

instead of HRE check into Nutek. The guy who founded HRE sold his business about 10 years ago, came to Southern California and started up Nutek. They build the rims right there and can get them painted just about any way you can imagine. Jim Dunphy there is great to work with and they'll take the time to advise you on color schemes, and also take special care to test the fitment on your car to make sure everything fits properly. He said he'll work with Camaro5 members to give them the best deal and service he can. Just mention "Doc" from Camaro5 sent you.

How many non-burnout miles can be gotten out of a set of these 2000 dollar tires?

P-zeros have dropped in price since the beginning. They're now 850 for a set at tire rack. So that's a heckuva lot better to deal with now. Actually cheaper in the rear, at 205 each, so light em up!

Tire Rack sponsors Camaro5. If you click the link on their banner at the top of the forums, it takes you to a camaro5 version of tire rack. They offer big discounts on most of the tires that fit our car. Stock replacements were 216 last I checked.

I'm assuming that beats the price ($220 fronts, $205 rears) that you get it you click the Tire Rack ad at the top of this page?

I already made that mistake on my rears. 6K miles (no burnouts!) and the tread is already gone!? 'Going to try the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires next. Hopefully the tread wear rating is accurate...

This thread seems a bit out-of-date, now that TireRack is a sponsor on here and the Pirellis can be had for about half of what people on here are stating (THANK YOU, TireRack!!!!).
