So before the Z/28 pics, I had a my detail guy Brian Hare of Detail Werkz (Dallas, TX) do a 3-stage paint correction, then applied Suntek clear bra on the whole car (every single panel) then 22PLE ceramic coating on top of clear bra. In essence, the car was 100% flawless - no swirl marks, super deep wet-looking paint, etc. - before pics were taken.

Our Z/28's are such undervalued cars and the market doesn't see it (yet) - and this is just not my opinion as simple math will show that the 5 major components alone are worth at least 35K...let's start with the $16,500 LS7 crate motor...

I paid 53K for my 2015 with 32 miles, so the way I see it, I paid 18K for my car...about 4,680 cheaper than the standard $22,680 V6 Camaro.
Don't forget those DSVV multimatic shocks seen only on F1 cars or on a $1.8MM Aston Martin..its hard to wrap a number around such an esoteric feature...as its truly one of the Z/28's most unique features right?

Why not use Zaino and call it a day?

Because my detail guy executed a process to remove scratches, swirl marks and marring that can only be removed through a paint-correction. I'm no paint expert, but from what he told me, a paint correction actually removes microns of clear coat, leaving fresh clear coat and, hence, a fresh looking painted car. So then, he 'trapped' this fresh clear coat with a clear bra so that I wouldn't have to worry about the paint being marred or scratched again, especially on a black car, which would drive me nuts.

My Z28 only had 32 miles on it when I bought it from the dealer and already had really bad marring and scratching due to it being washed multiple times by these 'wash-n-go' companies that charge dealers something ridiculous like $3 per car @ 200 cars and, trust me, it's a $3 was all day every day as these companies only use two things: power-washers and cheap terry cloth towels. So when I bought the car, my salesman said he'd detail it for me and I told him not to worry about it - he just starred at me like I was on dope.

He's an example of a partial paint correction on black paint. Wax will only temporarily cover (if even) the swirl marks/marring:

I understand but after the paint correction process you can seal it with Zaino. However, your Z looks amazing ... Good job your Detail Guy.
